‘Bathroom bills’ focus on the trans community but could affect another group more
I can relate to this. I can't speak to how common this may or may not be for males who present as non-gender or in a more "feminine" manner, but as a heterosexual, cis-gender female who chooses to never wear skirts, dresses, heels, makeup, or the color pink, I have experienced people calling me sir or mistaking me for male. I used to be told that if I wanted to be treated as female I should act more female. So I guess dating/marrying only men, having periods and boobs, and giving birth aren't enough to qualify me? I stand with ALL people who are told by other people how they should view or express their gender.

Just Not Sports
As I have seen more female sportscasters on TV in recent years, I have wondered about the crap they must have to deal with. This is really important for EVERYONE to watch. And this kind of thing happens, and has been happening, in one form or another for as long as humans have existed. Women are routinely harassed, abused, controlled, threatened, and attacked simply for being female and doing a job. Or having an opinion. Or wanting to look nice. Or NOT wanting to dress a certain way. Or any number of regular, everyday things that men seem to think they get to control. Enough, already. (And I know most men aren't like this, as evidenced by the men in this video who had such a hard time reading these comments.)

My son and I just had a Hangout On Air so we could record our explorations of area and perimeter in MinecraftEdu. Squares, rectangles, and irregular shapes. And you can see (if you have over an hour) how his understanding of the concepts and the computation procedures solidifies over the course of his building and reviewing.

Things like this scare me because my son is this age and he is most certainly "different." We aren't concerned about him or this right now, and I know his (my) school is responsive when/if anything does arise, but it's hard not to recognize that this could happen to any of our kids.
