Not to mention, our country was then perfectly happy to grab up some of the young American men who had been imprisoned by their own government and send them off to war -- a war many were quite happy to fight as part of the US Armed Forces because they, too, wanted to defend their home...despite the fact that they lost their homes and were living in camps in the desert.
