To the Mean Stranger Who Judged My Parenting Abilities, Thank You

A woman ahead of me in line at a supermarket once apologized to me for her son's behavior, explaining that he has autism. At the time, I had no idea Cameron did too. I told her she had nothing to apologize for, and that she was doing a great job with him. I'm so glad I saw the need to be kind and compassionate in that moment. I might need that too some time.
