Majority Of Autism Increase Due To Diagnostic Changes, Finds New Study

This supports what I came to understand by reading Temple Grandin's The Autistic Brain as well. She describes the history of autism as a diagnosis, and it's pretty clear that things we ignored or called "quirky" before would now merit a diagnosis and, where appropriate, support.
