This makes tons of sense where our son is concerned. He can't separate others' feelings and pain from his own. He feels what they are feeling and gets upset for their pain. If someone is having a bad day and is impatient with him, he becomes so desperate to please them and make it better that he can't focus or concentrate on what he is supposed to be doing or thinking about.
